For our first day here, as you might guess, we relaxed after our long trip. Dan and I finally left after noon to pick up some needed supplies, the first stop being a Home Depot store. A nice feature of the parking lot is that men in orange Home Depot shirts ask if you would like them to wash your car while you are shopping. Dan agreed since his Corolla had acquired a conspicuous coat of dust from the trip. Two men hand washed the car, returning it to showroom sparkle, for a grand total, in Canadian dollars, of $2.50. I can't understand why Home Depot does not have this service in Montreal. I'm sure demand would be great.
After about four errands we headed back to SJR from elevated ground enabling me to get photos of the city below ...
It may not be readily apparent from the photos but for the most part San Juan Del Rio is a very neat, clean, and tidy town. I can see why Dan and Heather like it here. The ride home took us by the property of one of the biggest employers here, Kimberly-Clark. Considering our experience yesterday all I can say is, "Keep that Cottonelle coming Kimberly!"
Back at Dan's house I took a picture so you can see where we are staying ...
If you click on the above photo to enlarge it you just might be able to distinguish Carol behind the front door waving to the camera.
Tomorrow I hope to accompany Dan in the Cart Work which would be my first experience ever at this kind of Witnessing. Since the Spanish congregations are busy with return visits and Bible studies, they leave it to the English to do the Cart Work since it does not demand a whole lot of ability in speaking Spanish. It seems I'll have opportunity then to meet another brother from the group here.
I'll let you know how it all goes.

I spent the afternoon with Heather getting a manicure/pedicure while she had her hair done. The salon was a large, modern, well run place. Besides coffee, we were given a delicious punch made from fresh fruits and cinnamon flavoured. We also met a very sweet, talkative 12 year old girl from Oklahoma who was visiting family. I got to see a bit of the downtown and it was lovely. One strange thing is that most people wear warm clothing and knee high boots even though the temp is 24 degrees. It's winter.
