On our stroll back we passed a beach wedding with many taking photos so I took one as well. I had only my iPad camera which is low resolution. The couple was from Quebec.
We wish them well.
At least it's not puppy love.
The Wi-Fi technician stopped by this afternoon and, using my iPhone to translate, I conveyed to him that our Internet service needed to be rescued from the deepest reaches of the electronic abyss. He took a reading with a handheld device, said it was "lento." I could only agree, "Mucho lento. Mucho, mucho lento. Casi parado." He advised it will be fixed. I asked, "But when?" His answer was the classic, time-honored, and internationally renowned "mañana." Due to language limitations that was the extent of our talk ... por ahora.
Speaking of language, lately we seem to be invaded here by French Quebeckers. They have clearly discovered The Bayview Marina and have arrived in numbers certainly eclipsing last year. At least I understand their language.
Our day came to a pleasant conclusion as the guests of Jim, the coordinator here, and his wife, Nancy.
They took us for supper at an Ixtapa restaurant giving us the chance to get to know one another better. Mention was made of the April 18, 2014 earthquake in this area. It registered 7.2 which is not minor. I had not personally heard of this before. It happened one month after we left. Here is a photo from the Web taken in Ixtapa at the time ...
And here we are on the eleventh floor of an eighteen-story building. Hmmm.
